Alexander R. Christine Jr.

Alexander Christine graduated, With High Distinction, from the University of Kentucky's Honor's Program in 1978 where he was Phi Beta Kappa and graduated from the University of Florida's College of Law in 1981, where he attained honors in Legal Research and Writing and Moot Court. Alex was an assistant state Attorney and Chief Prosecuting Attorney in the Seventh Judicial Circuit under State Attorney Stephen Boyles until 1989 when he joined the St. Augustine law firm of Conn and Joyce. He is currently senior partner in the firm of Christine & Christine, P.A., practicing in the fields of criminal and civil litigation in the State Courts and in the Federal court for the Middle District of Florida. Alex is a contract attorney for the Florida Association of State Troopers and has earned the highest peer review rating for ability and ethics by the Martindale Hubbell National Law Directory.

Alexander Christine is a former elected City Commissioner for the City of St. Augustine and a former judicial candidate. He was one of the original embers of the Board of Directors of the Betty Griffin House Safety Shelter for battered and abused women and children. He is the past president of the Board of Directors of EPIC Community Services Substance Abuse, Education and Prevention Program. In addition, he is a former member of the Board of Directors and was the adoption attorney for the St. Gerard House Shelter and School for Unwed Mothers. Currently Alex is the Chairman of the Cathedral Basilica Finance Advisory Committee and is a director on the board of Christian Professional Resources. He is a past president of the St. Johns County Bar Association and an eight-time recipient of the Volunteer Lawyers Project Pro Bono Award for legal service to the poor. He is a member of the Florida Bar Association, and past Chairman of the Florida Bar Fee Arbitration Committee for the Seventh Judicial Circuit. Alex has been appointed to various governmental boards and committees, including the City of St. Augustine Planning and Zoning Board and the St. Johns County Charter Government Committee. He is a past member of the Florida Prosecutor's Association, a course graduate of the National College of District Attorneys, as well as a speaker and participant in the Florida Law Related Education Association. He is a current member of the Sunrise Rotary Club, and a Paul Harris Fellow, as well as the St. Augustine St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Council, the St. Augustine Trust for Historic Preservation, the Catholic Lawyers Guild, the St. Augustine St. Johns County Sports Club, and the Sons of Italy, Lodge #2780, where he was Italian American of the year in 2006.
