Probation Violations

Experienced Probation Representation

Probation often comes with a long list of requirements. If you inadvertently or intentionally violate the terms of your probation, you will most likely be arrested and put in jail without bond. If you have been arrested, informed of a violation or believe your probation status is in danger, contact an experienced attorney quickly to be a voice on your side for swift protection of your rights.

At Christine & Christine, P.A., we counsel and defend individuals charged with a range of probation violations. Striving to prevent incarceration without bond and the imposition of sentences more harsh than the ones originally given, we provide aggressive representation for our clients.

Skilled Probation Violation Lawyers

Our firm defends clients in St. Augustine, Florida, and nearby communities accused of probation violations, including:

  • Breaking curfew
  • Failing a drug test
  • Missing a community service requirement
  • Failing to report to a probation parole officer
  • Leaving the jurisdiction without permission
  • Failing to notify probation officer of a new address

If you have violated the terms of your probation, it no longer matters whether you actually committed the underlying crime or merely accepted a plea bargain out of convenience. The violation is considered a separate infraction. You are now eligible to receive the full penalty for the original crime.

As your defense team, we will work to minimize the damage. Our firm's senior lawyers, Alexander Christine and Maureen Sullivan Christine, are both former Chief Prosecuting Attorneys. The husband-and-wife team has over 50 years of combined criminal defense experience. They will use their knowledge and personal experience to help lessen the impact of your violation. Both Alex and Maureen Christine have been commentators on nationally televised Court TV and are recognized as knowledgeable in the field of criminal law.

Early Termination of Probation

We can assist anyone to petition for early termination of probation. However, you have a greater chance of success if you have served at least half of your probationary term and completed any special conditions, such as paying court costs, finishing community service hours and successfully completing counseling. If you believe you are a candidate for early probation termination, contact our office for assistance.
